Illinois High School Football - Pontiac trounces Rantoul

September 9, 2022: Rantoul, IL 61866

In Friday's league match, the visiting Pontiac Indians football squad scored a big 50-14 victory over the Rantoul Eagles.

In their next game, the Indians clash with the Paxton-Buckley-Loda Panthers (Paxton, IL) in a Illini Prairie match, on Friday, September 16. Pontiac will attempt to move on its 1-2 season record. The Panthers enter the match with a 3-0 record after their 28-25 league win over Bloomington Central Catholic (Bloomington, IL).

The Eagles (0-3) will now prepare for their match against Prairie Central (Fairbury, IL). The Hawks enter the Illini Prairie match with a 3-0 record. In their last match, Prairie Central routed St. Joseph-Ogden (St. Joseph, IL), 55-28, in a league match.
