September 9, 2022: Ludowici, GA 31316 In Friday's non-league contest, the Lowndes Vikings (Valdosta, GA) softball team overwhelmed the host Long County Blue Tide (Ludowici, GA), by a margin of 11-3.
With the triumph, Lowndes moves its record to 7-4 on the year. The Vikings host Valdosta (Valdosta, GA) to play the Wildcats in a 7A Region 1 contest on Tuesday, September 13. The Wildcats come into the contest with a record of 6-5. Valdosta won 11-6 in their recent non-league contest against Echols County (Statenville, GA)
In their next game, the Blue Tide play the Liberty County Panthers (Hinesville, GA) in a 3A Region 3 contest, on Tuesday, September 13. Long County will attempt to move on its 10-4 season record. The Panthers come into the contest with a 0-4 record after their 12-2 league loss to St. Vincent's (Savannah, GA).
