September 9, 2022: La Jolla, CA 92093 The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Horizon Prep Lions (Rancho Santa Fe, CA) and the host Preuss UCSD Tritons (La Jolla, CA), saw Horizon Prep's volleyball squad beat Preuss UCSD by a tally of 2-0.
The Lions now have a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Joseph Academy for a non-league test on Friday, September 9. Horizon Prep will confront a Crusaders team coming off a 3-0 league win over Calvin Christian (Escondido, CA). The Crusaders record now stands at 7-1.
The Tritons (0-3) will now prepare for their test against Bayfront Charter (Chula Vista, CA). The Sharks enter the non-league test with a 1-8 record. In their last test, Bayfront Charter was knocked off by St. Joseph Academy (San Marcos, CA), 2-0, in a non-league test.
