In Saturday's league match, the host Gaylord Blue Devils football squad scored a good 37-16 victory over the Marquette Redmen.

In their next game, the Blue Devils clash with the Petoskey Northmen (Petoskey, MI) in a Big North match, on Friday, September 15. Gaylord will attempt to move on its 3-0 season record. The Northmen enter the match with a 2-1 record after their 50-0 league win over Escanaba (Escanaba, MI).

The Redmen (1-2) will now prepare for their match against Sault Area (Sault St. Marie, MI). The Blue Devils enter the Big North match with a 2-1 record.
