Illinois High School Soccer - Joliet Catholic nudges Rockford Auburn
September 9, 2023: Rockford, IL 61101 Joliet Catholic Hilltoppers (Joliet, IL) supporters were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Rockford Auburn Knights (Rockford, IL), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Hilltoppers confront the Manteno Panthers (Manteno, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, September 11. Joliet Catholic will attempt to move on its 2-7 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 4-4 record after their 2-2 non-league St. Edward (Elgin, IL).
The Knights now possess a 0-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Freeport for a Northern Illinois NIC-10 challenge on Tuesday, September 12. Rockford Auburn will confront a Pretzels team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Byron (Byron, IL). The Pretzels record now stands at 1-3.
