The Spring Mills Cardinals (Martinsburg, WV) volleyball overcame the visiting George Washington Patriots (Charleston, WV), 2-0 in Saturday's non-league outing.

With the win, Spring Mills betters its record to 7-5 on the year. The Cardinals travel to Oak Glen (New Cumberland, WV) to face the Golden Bears in a non-league outing on Saturday, September 9. The Golden Bears go into the outing with a record of 6-1. Oak Glen won 3-1 in their recent non-league outing against Indian Creek (Wintersville, OH)

The Patriots now sport a 3-4 record. They play next when they travel to St. Albans for a Mountain State outing on Tuesday, September 12.
