South County Stallions (Lorton, VA) supporters were in high spirits Monday as they observed their volleyball team hold off the host George C. Marshall Statesmen (Falls Church, VA), 3-2 in a non-league contest.

The Stallions (3-0) will now prepare for their contest against West Potomac (Alexandria, VA). The Wolverines enter the Patriot contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, West Potomac was tipped by West Springfield (Springfield, VA), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Statesmen battle the Woodson Cavaliers (Fairfax, VA) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, September 12. George C. Marshall will attempt to move on its 0-5 season record. The Cavaliers enter the contest with a 1-3 record after their 3-1 league loss to Alexandria City (Alexandria, VA).
