Texas High School Football - Bowie thwarted by Overton
September 9, 2025: Simms, TX 75574 Overton Mustangs (Overton, TX) fans went home in high spirits Tuesday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Bowie Pirates (Simms, TX), 28-0 in a non-league battle.
The Mustangs (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Maud (Maud, TX). The Cardinals come into the non-league match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Maud went down by Mt. Enterprise (Mt. Enterprise, TX), 22-20, in a non-league match.
Coming up next, the Pirates meet the Alba-Golden Panthers (Alba, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 18. Bowie will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
