September 9, 2025: Ellenwood, GA 30294 Cedar Grove Saints (Ellenwood, GA) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Douglass Astros (Atlanta, GA), 2-0 in a league test.
With the win, Cedar Grove improves its record to 7-11 on the season. The Saints travel to Riverdale (Riverdale, GA) to face the Raiders in a 3A Area 5 test on Thursday, September 11. The Raiders go into the test with a record of 5-10. Riverdale won 2-0 in their recent league test against Mt. Zion (Jonesboro, GA)
The Astros now have a 1-7 record. They play next when they travel to Greater Atlanta Christian for a 3A Area 5 challenge on Tuesday, September 9. Douglass will face a Spartans squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to North Gwinnett (Suwanee, GA). The Spartans record now stands at 5-10.
