Illinois High School Volleyball - Downers Grove North tips Lyons

In Tuesday's league challenge, the visiting Downers Grove North Trojans volleyball squad scored a tight 2-1 win over the Lyons Lions.

With the win, Downers Grove North advances its record to 6-2 on the season. The Trojans host Benet Academy (Lisle, IL) to face the Redwings in a non-league test on Friday, September 12. The Redwings go into the test with a record of 9-1. Benet Academy won 2-0 in their recent league challenge against Nazareth Academy (LaGrange Park, IL)

Next, the Lions play the Lincoln-Way East Griffins (Frankfort, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, September 10. Lyons will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Griffins come into the challenge with a 5-4 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Downers Grove North (Downers Grove, IL).
