Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Illinois Valley Central Grey Ghosts (Chillicothe, IL) and the visiting Olympia Spartans (Stanford, IL), observed Illinois Valley Central's volleyball team top Olympia by a tally of 2-0.

The Grey Ghosts (5-0) will now prepare for their contest against Orion (Orion, IL). The Chargers enter the non-league contest with a 6-4 record. In their last contest, Orion beat Monmouth-Roseville (Monmouth, IL), 2-1, in a league test.

The Spartans now own a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host MacArthur for a non-league test on Thursday, September 11. Olympia will encounter a Generals squad coming off a 2-1 league win over Decatur Eisenhower (Decatur, IL). The Generals record now stands at 2-3.
