The Eureka Hornets baseball team scored 11 runs and held the host Princeton Tigers to 1 in the Hornets non-league win on Thursday.

The Hornets now own a 14-17 record. They take the field next when they host St. Joseph-Ogden for a non-league test on Saturday, May 23. Eureka will play a Spartans team coming off a 8-1 non-league win over Newton (Newton, IL). The Spartans record now stands at 32-2.

With the defeat, Princeton drops to 8-19 on the year. The Tigers host Byron (Byron, IL) to play the Tigers in a non-league test on Friday, May 22. The Tigers go into the test with a record of 25-7. Byron won 16-1 in their recent league test against Stillman Valley (Stillman Valley, IL)
