Conant Cougars (Hoffman Estates, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Rolling Meadows Mustangs (Rolling Meadows, IL), 11-7 in a league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lake Park for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 16.

With the loss, Rolling Meadows falls to 6-1 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Lake Park (Roselle, IL) to clash with the Lancers in a non-league game on Tuesday, April 12. The Lancers come into the game with a record of 5-2. Lake Park lost 7-1 in their recent league game against Waubonsie Valley (Aurora, IL)
