Rolling Meadows Mustangs (Rolling Meadows, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Hoffman Estates Hawks (Hoffman Estates, IL), 5-1 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 12-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Buffalo Grove for a Mid-Suburban East challenge on Thursday, May 5. Rolling Meadows will face a Bison squad coming off a 5-2 league loss to Palatine (Palatine, IL). The Bison record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Hoffman Estates falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Fremd (Palatine, IL) to face the Vikings in a Mid-Suburban challenge on Monday, May 9. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 11-1. Fremd lost 3-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Elk Grove (Elk Grove Village, IL)
