The Richmond Red Devils basketball team scored 77 points and held the host Pendleton Heights Arabians to 71 in the Red Devils non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Red Devils now sport a 9-7 record. They play next when they host Harrison for a North Central outing on Friday, January 31.

The Arabians now own a 6-8 record. They play next when they host Delta for a Hoosier Heritage outing on Friday, January 24. Pendleton Heights will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 59-38 non-league win over Wapahani (Selma, IN). The Eagles record now stands at 9-2.

Quarter 1

Kamden Early started the game as a scoring machine as he put in 6 first quarter points. Four other Arabians scored in the quarter with Davrick Black scoring 4, Jamison Dunham, Ethan Ross and Carter Aldridge each with 2 points.

Quarter 2

The second quarter saw the Arabians settle down and outscore the Red Devils. Davrick Black led the way with 9 second quarter points. He was followed by Ethan Ross with 4, Kamden Early with 3, Jamison Dunham and Luke Candiano each scoring 2. Pendleton scored 9 points off turnovers which was better than Richmond's.

Quarter 3

The Arabians outscored the Red Devils in the third quarter as well with Davrick Black once again leading the way with 8 quarter points. Jamison Dunham scored 4 and Carter Aldridge with 2 points. The Pendleton defense held the talented Richmond players to only 12 points.

Quarter 4

The Arabians once again outscored the Red Devils which forced an overtime. Jamison Dunham was the top scorer with 6 points. Three other Arabians scored with Luke Candiano getting 5, Davrick Black and Carter Aldridge each scoring 4. The three point line was very friendly as the Arabians hit 4 out of 5 from behind the line. The last three quarters tied the game and forced an overtime.

Overtime

Unfortunately the overtime quarter was dominated by the Red Devils as the Arabians could only muster 2 points and that was from Davrick Black. The much taller Richmond team took control of the boards and the Arabians couldn't compete.
