Needles Mustangs (Needles, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Ash Fork Spartans (Ash Fork, AZ), 48-14 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Needles upgrades its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Lake Mead Academy (Henderson, NV) to play the Eagles in a 2A South bout on Saturday, December 4. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 1-1. Lake Mead Academy lost 61-48 in their recent non-league bout against Boulder City (Boulder City, NV)

Next up, the Spartans play the Seligman Antelopes (Seligman, AZ) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 3. Ash Fork will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Antelopes come into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 65-12 non-league loss to El Capitan (Colorado City, AZ).
