In Saturday's league game, the host Kaplan Pirates baseball team scored a tight 8-5 victory over the Patterson Lumberjacks.
The Pirates (10-7) will now prepare for their game against Berwick (Berwick, LA). The Panthers go into the 3A District 9 game with a 15-4 record.
