Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Singer Hornets (Singer, LA) and the host Hackberry Mustangs (Hackberry, LA), saw Singer's basketball squad overcome Hackberry by a tally of 57-40.

With the victory, Singer improves its record to 16-13 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Johnson Bayou (Cameron, LA) to confront the Rebels in a C District 7 challenge on Friday, February 12. The Rebels come into the challenge with a record of 2-25. Johnson Bayou lost 61-47 in their recent league challenge against Northside Christian (Crowley, LA)

Next up, the Mustangs confront the Starks Panthers (Starks, LA) in a C District 7 challenge, on Monday, February 8. Hackberry will attempt to improve on its 8-17 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 26-10 record after their 79-68 non-league win over Midland (Midland, LA).
