Mississippi High School Basketball - Belmont nips Aberdeen
February 5, 2019: Aberdeen, MS 39730 Belmont Cardinals (Belmont, MS) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Aberdeen Bulldogs (Aberdeen, MS), 73-66 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Belmont upgrades its record to 10-15 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Itawamba Agricultural (Fulton, MS) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 7. The Indians come into the bout with a record of 15-10. Itawamba Agricultural won 63-52 in their recent league bout against Amory (Amory, MS)
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Eupora Eagles (Eupora, MS) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 7. Aberdeen will attempt to upgrade on its 5-21 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 3-17 record after their 86-73 non-league win over Bruce (Bruce, MS).
