The Norwin Knights football squad scored 44 points and restricted the visiting Penn-Trafford Warriors to 36 in the Knights non-league victory on Friday.

The Knights now possess a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Allegheny for a non-league battle on Friday, August 31. Norwin will play a Tigers squad coming off a 45-20 non-league win over COF Academy (Columbus, OH). The Tigers record now stands at 1-0.

Coming up next, the Warriors play the Gateway Gators (Monroeville, PA) in a WPIAL 5A Big East battle, on Friday, August 31. Penn-Trafford will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Gators enter the battle with a 1-0 record after their 31-8 non-league win over Mt. Lebanon (Pittsburgh, PA).
