McDowell Trojans (Erie, PA) fans left the game satisfied Friday as they observed their football team run past the visiting Erie Royals (Erie, PA), 36-12 in a league test.

With the win, McDowell improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Trojans travel to Butler (Butler, PA) to confront the Golden Tornado in a non-league test on Friday, September 18. The Golden Tornado go into the test with a record of 0-1. Butler lost 55-21 in their recent league match against Cathedral Prep (Erie, PA)

The Royals (0-1) will now prepare for their match against Cathedral Prep (Erie, PA). The Ramblers enter the District 10 Region 8 match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, Cathedral Prep thwarted Butler (Butler, PA), 55-21, in a league match.
