Ohio High School Volleyball - Cardinal Stritch Northview
September 17, 2016: Oregon, OH 43616 The Northview Wildcats topped the host Cardinal Stritch Cardinals volleyball team by a score of 2-0 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Wildcats now have a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Perrysburg for a Northern Lakes test on Tuesday, September 20. Northview will confront a Yellowjackets team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Findlay (Findlay, OH). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 6-5.
The Cardinals (5-4) will now prepare for their test against Anthony Wayne (Whitehouse, OH). The Generals enter the non-league test with a 5-2 record. In their last test, Anthony Wayne gained a win over Perrysburg (Perrysburg, OH), 3-2, in a league test.
Match Summary
TOLEDO - In the final match of the Irish Invitational, Northview met up with Cardinal Stritch. In Northview's quest to be a perfect 5-0 on the week, they were determined to win the final match of the day. The LadyKats won 25-22, 25-18 over the Cardinals.
Leading the Kats was senior Sydney Boerst who had 13 attempts, 10 kills and 9 errors hitting an astounding .769. Also leading the Kats was junior, Rachel Phalen who chipped in 10 kills, hitting .300. Junior setter, Aly O'Lenic had 26 assist and junior libero, Paige Beck led the team with 13 digs.
The LadyKats resume Northern Lakes League play this week as they host Perrysburg on Tuesday, September 20 at 6:00pm and Anthony Wayne on Thursday, September 22 at 6:00pm.
