The Pymatuning Valley Lakers (Andover, OH) football edged the host Mathews Mustangs (Vienna, OH), 26-21 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Lakers face the Windham Bombers (Windham, OH) in a Northeastern bout, on Friday, October 26. Pymatuning Valley will attempt to advance on its 2-7 season record. The Bombers enter the bout with a 8-1 record after their 39-0 league win over Chalker (Southington, OH).

The Mustangs now sport a 1-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Newbury for a Northeastern game on Friday, October 26. Mathews will battle a Black Knights team coming off a 35-3 league loss to Grand Valley (Orwell, OH). The Black Knights record now stands at 1-8.
