Nebraska High School Basketball - Perkins County can't hold off Maxwell

The Maxwell Wildcats basketball team scored 40 points and restricted the host Perkins County Plainsmen to 38 in the Wildcats non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Wildcats now sport a 8-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wallace for a D2 District 8 contest on Friday, February 1. Maxwell will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 48-43 non-league loss to Brady (Brady, NE). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-10.

The Plainsmen (4-14) will now prepare for their contest against Cambridge (Cambridge, NE). The Trojans come into the non-league contest with a 11-6 record. In their last contest, Cambridge edged Bertrand (Bertrand, NE), 43-25, in a league contest.
