In Friday's league test, the San Marcos Rattlers (San Marcos, TX) basketball squad trounced the host Canyon Cougars (New Braunfels, TX), by a score of 54-28.

Next, the Rattlers clash with the Johnson Jaguars (Buda, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 29 test, on Tuesday, January 21. San Marcos will attempt to improve on its 20-6 season record. The Jaguars come into the test with a 6-17 record after their 72-41 league loss to Steele (Cibolo, TX).

The Cougars (15-14) will now prepare for their test against Johnson (Buda, TX). The Jaguars come into the 6A Region IV District 29 test with a 6-17 record.
