Sahuaro Cougars (Tucson, AZ) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Casa Grande Cougars (Casa Grande, AZ), 68-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Sahuaro upgrades its record to 11-7 on the season. The Cougars host Catalina Foothills (Tucson, AZ) to meet the Falcons in a 4A Kino contest on Thursday, January 23. The Falcons enter the contest with a record of 17-1. Catalina Foothills won 70-67 in their recent league contest against Salpointe Catholic (Tucson, AZ)

The Cougars (7-12) will now prepare for their contest against Canyon del Oro (Tucson, AZ). The Dorados enter the 4A Kino contest with a 8-8 record. In their last contest, Canyon del Oro ran past Vista Grande (Casa Grande, AZ), 62-52, in a league contest.
