South Dakota High School Basketball - Moorcroft overwhelms Newell
January 16, 2025: Newell, SD 57760 The Moorcroft Wolves basketball team scored 73 points and limited the host Newell Irrigators to 9 in the Wolves non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Wolves now have a 2-7 record. They play next when they travel to New Underwood for a non-league game on Friday, January 17. Moorcroft will confront a Tigers team coming off a 70-41 non-league win over Faith (Faith, SD). The Tigers record now stands at 3-3.
With the loss, Newell falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Irrigators travel to Faith (Faith, SD) to confront the Longhorns in a non-league game on Friday, January 17. The Longhorns go into the game with a record of 2-4. Faith lost 55-46 in their recent league game against Harding County (Buffalo, SD)
