In Saturday's non-league game, the Fieldcrest Knights (Minonk, IL) football team smashed the host Illini West (Carthage, IL), by a final score of 48-8.

The Knights (6-0) will now prepare for their game against Deer Creek-Mackinaw (Mackinaw, IL). The Chiefs come into the Heart of Illinois - Large game with a 2-3 record. In their last game, Deer Creek-Mackinaw overwhelmed Heyworth (Heyworth, IL), 16-12, in a non-league game.

The now hold a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lewistown for a Prairieland - Black game on Friday, October 4. Illini West will battle a Indians team coming off a 44-0 league loss to Knoxville (Knoxville, IL). The Indians record now stands at 2-3.
