Kentucky High School Basketball - Morgan County bested by Menifee County
February 17, 2025: Frenchburg, KY 40322 Menifee County Wildcats (Frenchburg, KY) supporters left the game happy Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Morgan County Cougars (West Liberty, KY), 65-50 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Menifee County advances its record to 17-8 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Johnson Central (Paintsville, KY) to meet the Golden Eagles in a non-league match on Friday, February 21. The Golden Eagles enter the match with a record of 21-3. Johnson Central won 54-47 in their recent league match against Martin County (Inez, KY)
The Cougars now own a 9-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wolfe County for a non-league match on Wednesday, February 19. Morgan County will meet a Wolves squad coming off a 47-41 non-league win over Bluegrass United (Lexington, KY). The Wolves record now stands at 14-10.
