Spectators at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Red Mountain Mountain Lions (Mesa, AZ) and the host Corona del Sol Aztecs (Tempe, AZ), saw Red Mountain's baseball squad knock off Corona del Sol by a count of 7-1.

Coming up next, the Mountain Lions play the Mesa Jackrabbits (Mesa, AZ) in a 6A East Valley battle, on Friday, March 1. Red Mountain will attempt to move on its 3-3 season record. The Jackrabbits enter the battle with a 1-5 record after their 8-1 non-league loss to Chandler (Chandler, AZ).

The Aztecs now possess a 0-6 record. They take the field next when they host Hamilton for a non-league battle on Thursday, February 29. Corona del Sol will play a Huskies squad coming off a 8-4 non-league win over Desert Ridge (Mesa, AZ). The Huskies record now stands at 2-0.
