Arizona High School Basketball - Gila Ridge trounces Apache Junction

The Gila Ridge Hawks (Yuma, AZ) basketball crushed the host Apache Junction Prospectors (Apache Junction, AZ), 57-36 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Hawks (4-14) will now prepare for their test against La Joya Community (Avondale, AZ). The Fighting Lobos go into the non-league test with a 4-12 record. In their last test, La Joya Community was trounced by Da Vinci (El Paso, TX), 75-33, in a non-league test.

The Prospectors now own a 6-10 record. They play next when they travel to Coronado for a 4A Black Canyon test on Wednesday, January 10. Apache Junction will encounter a Dons squad coming off a 62-48 non-league loss to Saguaro (Scottsdale, AZ). The Dons record now stands at 6-8.
