In Friday's league match, the visiting Desert Edge Scorpions basketball team scored a tight 55-50 triumph over the Cactus Cobras.

In their next game, the Scorpions meet the Peoria Panthers (Peoria, AZ) in a 4A West Valley match, on Tuesday, February 2. Desert Edge will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 3-2 record after their 61-48 league loss to Deer Valley (Glendale, AZ).
