Columbus Cardinals (Columbus, TX) followers went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Edna Cowboys (Edna, TX), 49-6 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Columbus advances its record to 14-1 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Malakoff (Malakoff, TX) to play the Tigers in a non-league battle on Thursday, December 19. The Tigers go into the battle with a record of 15-0. Malakoff won 27-19 in their recent non-league battle against Paradise (Paradise, TX)

The Cowboys now own a 14-1 record.
