The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Hopewell Blue Devils (Hopewell, VA) and the host The Covenant Eagles (Charlottesville, VA), observed Hopewell's basketball team edge The Covenant by a score of 50-45.

The Blue Devils (8-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Dinwiddie (Dinwiddie, VA). The Generals come into the Central challenge with a 5-9 record. In their last challenge, Dinwiddie was tipped by Matoaca (Chesterfield, VA), 63-32, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the St. Anne's-Belfield Saints (Charlottesville, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 29.
