Nebraska High School Basketball - Blue Hill nudges Sandy Creek

January 18, 2018: Fairfield, NE 68938

Blue Hill Bobcats (Blue Hill, NE) supporters were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Sandy Creek Cougars (Fairfield, NE), 33-31 in a non-league challenge.

With the victory, Blue Hill improves its record to 10-5 on the campaign. The Bobcats host Lawrence-Nelson (Nelson, NE) to confront the Raiders in a D1 District 2 challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 8-8. Lawrence-Nelson won 46-26 in their recent non-league challenge against High Plains (Polk, NE)

Next up, the Cougars confront the Thayer Central Titans (Hebron, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 20. Sandy Creek will attempt to improve on its 5-10 season record. The Titans come into the challenge with a 5-10 record after their 54-47 non-league loss to Friend (Friend, NE).
