Sonoraville Phoenix (Calhoun, GA) supporters left the game in high spirits Tuesday as they observed their softball team get by the visiting Rockmart Yellowjackets (Rockmart, GA), 6-1 in a league contest.

With the triumph, Sonoraville moves its record to 2-3 on the year. The Phoenix host LaFayette (LaFayette, GA) to battle the Ramblers in a AAA Region 6 outing on Monday, August 24. The Ramblers enter the outing with a record of 2-4. LaFayette lost 4-3 in their recent league outing against Murray County (Chatsworth, GA)

The Yellowjackets (1-2) will now prepare for their bout against Ringgold (Ringgold, GA). The Tigers go into the AAA Region 6 bout with a 3-3 record. In their last bout, Ringgold held off Coahulla Creek (Dalton, GA), 5-1, in a league bout.
