Virginia High School Basketball - Portsmouth Christian bested by Norfolk Academy
January 30, 2025: Portsmouth, VA 23702 Norfolk Academy Bulldogs (Norfolk, VA) supporters left the game happy Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host Portsmouth Christian Patriots (Portsmouth, VA), 63-48 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Norfolk Academy advances its record to 7-8 on the year. The Bulldogs host Norfolk Christian (Norfolk, VA) to meet the Ambassadors in a VISAA Division II match on Friday, January 31. The Ambassadors enter the match with a record of 9-8. Norfolk Christian lost 68-42 in their recent league match against Steward (Richmond, VA)
The Patriots now own a 14-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host StoneBridge for a Metropolitan match on Friday, January 31. Portsmouth Christian will meet a Cavaliers squad coming off a 63-60 non-league loss to Grove Christian School (Richmond, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 4-11.
