West Virginia High School Basketball - Nitro knocks off Fairfax

In Friday's non-league contest, the host Nitro Wildcats basketball team scored a good 51-38 win over the Fairfax Lions.

The Wildcats (6-0) will now prepare for their contest against North Myrtle Beach (Little River, SC). The Chiefs come into the non-league contest with a 6-4 record. In their last contest, North Myrtle Beach was topped by Topsail (Hampstead, NC), 62-54, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Lions battle the Andrews Yellowjackets (Andrews, SC) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 28. Fairfax will attempt to better on its 5-3 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the contest with a 4-4 record after their 39-27 non-league win over Kingstree (Kingstree, SC).
