Next up, the Wildcats face the Athens Golden Eagles (Athens, AL) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, October 20. Fort Payne will attempt to better on its 22-27 season record. The Golden Eagles go into the contest with a 32-16 record after their 3-0 league loss to Hazel Green (Hazel Green, AL).
With the loss, Clay-Chalkville moves to 21-11 on the year.
