Pennsylvania High School Baseball - New Brighton gets by Hopewell

May 2, 2019: New Brighton, PA 15066

In Thursday's league challenge, the New Brighton Lions (New Brighton, PA) baseball squad the visiting Hopewell Vikings (Aliquippa, PA), by a final score of 7-5.

With the win, New Brighton upgrades its record to 11-4 on the season. The Lions travel to Freedom Area (Freedom, PA) to battle the Bulldogs in a WPIAL 3A 2 challenge on Monday, May 6. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 7-8. Freedom Area won 10-1 in their recent league challenge against North Catholic (Cranberry Township, PA)

With the defeat, Hopewell falls to 11-5 on the season. The Vikings travel to West Allegheny (Imperial, PA) to battle the Indians in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 3. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 14-2. West Allegheny won 5-1 in their recent league challenge against Trinity (Washington, PA)
