Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Safford Bulldogs (Safford, AZ) and the visiting Morenci Wildcats (Morenci, AZ), saw Safford's basketball squad hold off Morenci by a tally of 45-38.

With the victory, Safford improves its record to 1-9 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Fort Thomas (Fort Thomas, AZ) to play the Apaches in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 29. The Apaches come into the challenge with a record of 10-6. Fort Thomas won 74-15 in their recent non-league challenge against Valley Union (Elfrida, AZ)
