North Carolina High School Baseball - Northern Guilford nips Western Alamance

May 1, 2019: Greensboro, NC 27455

Northern Guilford Nighthawks (Greensboro, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Western Alamance Warriors (Elon, NC), 3-2 in a non-league test.

With the win, Northern Guilford upgrades its record to 17-6 on the season. The Nighthawks host Rockingham County (Wentworth, NC) to battle the Cougars in a non-league test on Thursday, May 2. The Cougars come into the test with a record of 18-5. Rockingham County won 4-3 in their recent non-league test against Morehead (Eden, NC)

With the defeat, Western Alamance falls to 16-9 on the season. The Warriors travel to McMichael (Mayodan, NC) to battle the Phoenix in a non-league test on Thursday, May 2. The Phoenix come into the test with a record of 17-7. McMichael lost 13-12 in their recent non-league test against Morehead (Eden, NC)
