The Vega Longhorns basketball team scored 44 points and limited the visiting Sanford-Fritch Eagles to 37 in the Longhorns league triumph on Friday.

The Longhorns now possess a 5-22 record. They play next when they travel to Sunray for a 2A Region I District 1 game on Monday, February 10. Vega will confront a Bobcats team coming off a 65-38 league loss to Stratford (Stratford, TX). The Bobcats record now stands at 4-14.

With the loss, Sanford-Fritch falls to 4-14 on the campaign. The Eagles host Gruver (Gruver, TX) to confront the Greyhounds in a 2A Region I District 1 game on Tuesday, February 11.
