The Homestead Mustangs basketball team scored 50 points and held the host Monta Vista Matadors to 36 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Mustangs now sport a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Westmont for a non-league contest on Friday, December 7. Homestead will battle a Warriors team coming off a 67-44 non-league loss to Leland (San Jose, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 0-2.

The Matadors (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Willow Glen (San Jose, CA). The Rams enter the non-league contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, Willow Glen ran past Live Oak (Morgan Hill, CA), 49-33, in a non-league contest.
