Arizona High School Softball - Mountain View falls to Horizon
April 18, 2013: Scottsdale, AZ 85254 In Thursday's non-league outing, the host Horizon Huskies softball team scored a nice 10-0 win over the Mountain View Toros.
Coming up next, the Huskies battle the North Canyon Rattlers (Phoenix, AZ) in a non-league outing, on Friday, April 19. Horizon will attempt to upgrade on its 10-3 season record.
Game Summary
The Huskies had a great team effort Thursday, taking down the Mountain View Torros, 10-0. Sami Wells, Kendall Coraggio, and Avery Denekamp all had two hits while Kemppainen, Casey, and Wehr each added a knock of their own. (Wells and Kemppainen doubled).
Jordan Wehr had a STRONG performance on the mound, striking out 13 - giving up one hit and 2 BB.
A strong throw from Wells to Carbajal shot down a Torro attempted steal, and Jenna Schebor played a nice first base.
The Huskies bounced back from a tough loss @ Hamilton, and hope to close out the week 2-1 tomorrow when they host North Canyon.
