Texas High School Football - Leander drops to Pflugerville

In Friday's non-league game, the Pflugerville Panthers (Pflugerville, TX) football team knocked off the host Leander Lions (Leander, TX), by a final score of 37-20.

The Panthers (1-1) will now prepare for their game against Elgin (Elgin, TX). The Wildcats come into the non-league game with a 1-1 record. In their last game, Elgin toppled Rudder (Bryan, TX), 51-32, in a non-league game.

The Lions now hold a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Stony Point for a 6A Region II District 13 game on Friday, September 14. Leander will battle a Tigers team coming off a 45-22 non-league win over Harker Heights (Harker Heights, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 2-0.
