In Thursday's non-league match, the host Westfield Blue Devils basketball team scored a tight 54-50 triumph over the East Side Red Raiders.

In their next game, the Blue Devils meet the Watchung Hills Regional Warriors (Warren, NJ) in a non-league match, on Saturday, March 7. Westfield will attempt to move on its 21-6 season record. The Warriors enter the match with a 24-4 record after their 88-47 non-league win over Franklin (Somerset, NJ).

With the defeat, East Side moves to 14-11 on the year.
