The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Mountain View Toros (Mesa, AZ) and the visiting Valley Christian Trojans (Chandler, AZ), saw Mountain View's volleyball squad nip Valley Christian by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Mountain View upgrades its record to 4-8 on the year. The Toros travel to Notre Dame Prep (Scottsdale, AZ) to play the Saints in a non-league bout on Friday, September 8. The Saints go into the bout with a record of 2-0. Notre Dame Prep won 3-2 in their recent non-league bout against Verrado (Buckeye, AZ)

The Trojans now own a 6-2 record. They play next when they travel to Tempe for a non-league bout on Friday, September 8. Valley Christian will play a Buffaloes squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Eastmark (Mesa, AZ). The Buffaloes record now stands at 1-3.
