Salisbury Hornets (Salisbury, NC) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Lexington Yellowjackets (Lexington, NC), 84-63 in a league match.

With the victory, Salisbury advances its record to 19-3 on the year. The Hornets host Queen City Prep (Charlotte, NC) to face the Kings in a non-league match on Monday, February 10. The Kings enter the match with a record of 6-10. Queen City Prep lost 116-44 in their recent non-league match against Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, VA)

The Yellowjackets now own a 11-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Rowan for a 1A/2A Central Carolina match on Tuesday, February 11. Lexington will face a Cavaliers squad coming off a 56-32 league win over West Davidson (Lexington, NC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 14-7.
