In Friday's non-league game, the Central Golden Eagles (Springfield, MA) football team smashed the visiting Shrewsbury Colonials (Shrewsbury, MA), by a score of 60-14.

The Golden Eagles (8-1) will now prepare for their game against Hoosac Valley (Cheshire, MA). The Hurricanes come into the non-league game with a 3-5 record. In their last game, Hoosac Valley overwhelmed Commerce (Springfield, MA), 44-20, in a league game.

The Colonials now sport a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they host Wachusett Regional for a Midland Wachusett - A game on Thursday, November 24. Shrewsbury will meet a Mountaineers team coming off a 45-29 non-league loss to Xaverian Brothers (Westwood, MA). The Mountaineers record now stands at 6-3.
